i have had difficulty with this gaming notebook for a month.

1. the GTX will crash when i was play street fighter5 suddenly, which is the only game i installed and play around.

then i use the windows tool to reset to factory state.

2. after the reinstall of windows. i first install the steam app and game. i can play for like 10 minutes and then crashed again.

3. the next day the GTX is not shown in the device manager.

so the GTX is dead? it's kind of waste of time and money to play a 2 years old game with acer notebook.

    >>>then i use the windows tool to reset to factory state.>>>

What was the original factory-installed operating system, if any? Jack E/NJ

Why did you re-install the Microsoft generic Win10 version instead the ACER specific Win10 version that on your drive's hidden recovery partition?  The ACER version has all the correct device drivers and system files for your machine. The Microsoft version does not. Jack E/NJ

You can try the ALT+F10 coldboot method outside of the Windows environment. First, make sure your machine is completely off. Then turn it back on and immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. A recovery screen should appear as in the video below if the hidden ACER Win10 recovery partition is still intact. Follow screen direction to either re-set the machine to a factory-fresh ACER Win10 state. Jack E/NJ

that's what i have done to reset.
i can get the GTX appear again.
but few days later, when i am in the game, video crash again.
GTX is not shown in dxdiag.

it's like the card is unpluged.

the conclusion of this nitro 5 sense is...."not stable with an old game that can run on GTX980"

OK. Open Control Panel. Search "restore point". Can you find a Win10update "restore point" at about the time when the video crashed again? I suspect the graphics card issue is due to an automatic Win10update.  Jack E/NJ

Just shooting ideas here (I have the Ryzen/Radeon version of the Nitro 5 so I can't test this) but have you tried installing the latest Nvidia drivers from http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx The manufacturer's drivers are always best (in this case that would be Acer) but if the problem persists try the latest Nvidia drivers from the link I mentioned before (select Product Type: GeForce, Product Series: GeForce 10 Series Notebooks, Product: GeForce GTX 1050, OS: Windows 10 64 and Language: English US). Let us know how it goes.
