  • The hdd interface is only sataIII! However the notebook has a specific input for the ssd m2 2280! This m2 2280 input supports both SATA interface III and pcie nvme gen3x4! The 970 is superior! Take a look at the benchmark http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Samsung-970-Evo-NVMe-PCIe-M2-250GB-vs-Samsung-860-Pro-256GB/m494033vs3950

@egydiocoelho My model is SF315-51G-57QM. The HDD interface is SATA. I'm not sure whether my laptop would support M.2 NVME.
There isnt mentioned anything about the SDD on the official website or in the manual.
The computer model  SF315-51G-57QM Storage Subsystem mentioned below:-

    Solid State drive:
    M.2 2280 128GB/256GB/512GB SATA SSD (SATA 3.0)
    M.2 2280 256GB/512GB NVMe SSD (PCIe Gen3 x 4)

    Hard Disk Drive
    500GB/1000GB/2000GB 2.5-inch 5400RPM SATA HDD

@egydiocoelho I found samsung 970 pro on amazon

Is this really more powerful than Samsung 860 pro? Is the difference noticeable in real time?
Please have a look to the benchmark blog give below to get clear picture about difference.

    Hi,
M.2 SATA drives are fine for everyday usage, NVMe is better only in benchmarks and more faster when you transfer large files/folders, you will not notice the difference between them under normal usage.
  • Correct @brummyfan2! But for similar prices and superior performance, I would opt for ssd nvme!
