Acer Aspire 7 A715-71G-554N SSD Upgrade?

I bought this laptop with a 1 TB HDD and 8 gigs of DDR4 Ram. I haven't been able to find any answers as to how to start upgrading to an SSD. I've seen a question about a similar laptop and whether a Samsung SSD was compatible, but that was the end of the question. Is there a manual or anything I can follow so I know first, whether it's able to be upgraded to an SSD in the first place, and if so, what other materials I may need, and how to install the SSD physically (and possible digitally)? I'm a complete noob to this because I've never built a PC or anything before. I'll appreciate any help with this matter. Thank you.

Hi, For your information your laptop Aspire A715-71G-554N includes a storage bay that allows for installation of a secondary 2.5" hard drive or solid state drive.

Moreover, the unit Supports 7mm and 9.5mm co-lay. Also unit supports M.2 2280 for SSD (PCIe/SATA Co-lay). The HDD up to 2TB & SSD up to 512GB.

Use the steps below to install a secondary drive in your system.

Note: Acer recommends use of an anti-static wrist strap when adding hardware to your system.

Remove the AC adapter and make sure your system is completely powered off.
Remove the screw securing the hard drive door to the lower case, and remove the door by lifting at the cut corner.
Install the new hard drive in the hard drive module using the four screws included in the packaging.
Connect the hard drive cable to the new hard drive.
Align and install the hard drive module into its slot on the lower case.
Attach the four screws to secure the hard drive module to the lower case.
Align the hard drive door latches in the slots on the lower case and press the hard drive door firmly until it is fully seated.
Secure the hard drive door with the screw you removed in step one.

As friend @Balatekie reported, it supports ssd m2 2280 pcie or sata co-lay up to 512gb!

1) first remove the rear screws and then remove the ram and hd

2) Starting from the left side, force the release of the left side locks by following the direction arrows.

3) Continue releasing the latches on the underside, following the direction of the arrow.

4) Release the latches on the right side.

5) Remove the case

6) You will find the ssd m2 slot next to ram
