Hello,
I need to boot from a USB on a Spin B118-RN but I cannot seem to accomplish this no matter what I try.  I have setup a supervisor password, disabled Secure Boot, but the USB is not in the boot options.  Even if I restart windows holding shift and go into the Advanced options to boot from USB it says "System doesn't have any USB boot option.".
The BIOS version is V1.03.

I can't believe that there is no way to boot from USB on these devices.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

USB flash drive must be partioned as GPT, formatted as FAT32 and having a x64 UEFI compatible OS.

also enabled F12 boot menu key from BIOS, so with the USB plugged, at boot you just need to press F12 key to have the boot menu list.
    I'm not an Acer employee.

Do you want to reinstall windows 10? If so, you have the option to activate the acer recovery partition using the bios d2drecovery feature! After you have activated it, save on exit and press alt + f10!
Now, if you want to do a clean installation using the pendrive, go to Powershell as administrator and type the following commands: diskpart, list disk, sel disk x, clean gpt, create partition primary, format fs = fat32 quick, assign!
Then download the iso from windows 10 at this link "https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10", select x64 and extract the files to the pendrive!
Enter the bios, disable the secureboot and activate the uefi mode! Put the pendrive first in the boot!

    Hi Everyone,
I really need to boot by USB stick so that I can have a look at the existing partition structure.

Towards this end I am attempting to boot from a Paragon Hard Drive Manager USB stick.

It has the following folder / file structure -

I am wondering if this format satisfies the requirements outlined above?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Davo
  • Ideally you should create a new topic @MrDavo. Add me by putting an @. However, remember that the bootmode is in uefi, the flash drive must be converted to gpt and formatted to fat32.
