Acer v3-731-4470 laptop battery only LED, no Power LED

I have an Acer v3-731 -4470 Laptop. 

I had it well protected in a laptop bag but it stopped working when we return from vacation a few weeks ago.

I didn't use it again for about a week or 2 after that, and the battery had completely died.

The battery charged up OK when I plugged in the AC adapter (battery light eventually went to blue).

No other status lights though (Power LED is OFF).

Any suggestions on what I might try to get the laptop working again?

Search on google/Youtube indicated to try holding down power button for up to 45 seconds while battery was unplugged (without AC adapter for ESD), with AC adapter only, and battery only.   That didn't help.

Is it possible the BIOS battery died?  Or any part failure typical of this model?

>> Try to perform a simple power reset and check the issue.  Shutdown the laptop. Disconnect the charger. Disconnect the external display. Please check for a battery reset PIN hole at the bottom of the device.The reset hole would have a battery symbol next to it. Insert a paperclip into the hole and press for four seconds. Let the computer sit for 5 minutes with no power. Reconnect the charger and power On the laptop.
