Hey Guys,

Acer Predator Helios 300 here,
After last Windows Update my Dolby Audio program doesn't allow me to use the equalizer anymore.
It just keeps asking me to plug the headphones into the system audio jack, but it is plugged!!!

I've already tried reinstalling the Dolby Audio, reinstalling the audio drivers, rebooting and reconnecting, pretty much EVERYTHING.
Does anyone knows what this is, and knows how to solve it?

Thank you

Trying removing any audio USB devices connected to the laptop and see how it goes.

I see this masked screen when i have my USB headset connected in, and the moment i disconnect it the screen updates itself to working mode.

Had no USB audio...well, I actually got a Insider Preview of Windows and it looks like it's back to normal.

I'm facing the exact same problem on my Nitro 5. Anyone got a solution?
  • Looks like OP updated to Windows Insider and it fixed?

Strange though I have no such issue on 1709 or 1803.

The Dolby Audio started working around a week at my side. Might be some update.

if u got problem like that, try ...right click on dolby audio, then click turn off dolby audio. at last you must do the same way to turn on dolby audio. then everything back to normal, thats work for my acer nitro 5, hope work for u either. ggwp

My problem is solved by doing this:

    1. Open Device Manager
    2. look for "Realtek HD Audio"
    3. Right click to disable it
    4. Right click to enable it
    5. Solved.

Please have a try and tell me is that work on yours. TQ.
