So i just bought my acer predator helios 300. I did a shutdown but my external keyboard was still powered with rgb. Is this common? Or can i change something in the bios to turn them off completely.

The USB 3 on the left side of the laptop is powered on even on shutoff to allow device charging. As far as I know, there is no way to turn it off.

That's exactly where my keyboard is in. So i'll switch them to the right side. I disconnected the power supply but i guess it just drains the remaining battery?

Open ACER QUICK ACCESS, and disable the "power off usb charging" option.
