I've had my Acer H5380BD for just over 2 years.  Two weeks ago the bulb exploded.  I have since cleaned out all of the glass and bought a new lamp for it.  However the fan won't turn on nor the lamp. It makes 1 clicking sound and then the LEDs go Red, indicating lamp failure.  So I bought a 2nd lamp but get the same results.  No fan, no light, only LEDs showing lamp failure.  I've double checked all connections and everything is solid.  I'm starting to think I have a $400 paperweight.  If anyone has any insight I'm all ears.  Thanks.

There are several things that can cause this issue. Any restriction of the air flow can cause this problem. A ballast that is supplying the incorrect voltage to the bulb can definitely cause this problem. Any movement of the projector while it is on or shortly after it is turned off can cause the bulb to fail.

It could destroy other parts of the projector. Ensure all connectors are securely connected and aren’t broken. Also, check Lamp Cover, Interlock Switch.

The only way to know for sure what is causing the problem is to have the projector checked by a technician that has the needed test equipment and the needed skills to use it, to diagnose the problem. You can also contact Acer support in your region and check for options to fix the issue.
