Bought a Nitro 5 in Germany, now live in Colombia: which adapter do i need?

I have no idea about electronics and computers: So I gave you all the headsup.

I have been to homecenter here twice, both times I got converters. Both times the "width" of my plug was wider than the converter, so i couldn't connect these parts.
I tried both cheap " simple " adapters and proper power concerters.

What is it that I am overlooking, that seemingly the Acer's plug is too wide for all converters? What keyterms do I have to mention, so ghat staff knows what i want?

FYI I have been in the store with the cable, to show them what I need.

Try using a Worldwide All in One Universal Travel Adaptor. Most modern laptops can automatically handle from 100 to 240 volts, which lets them operate without a separate power transformer or converter. The United States generally uses electricity at 120 volts, while Europe ranges from 220 to 240 volts.
