My wife's Aspire 5580-7696 runs REAL slow on IE and Chrome browsers.

It has been a nice computer, no problems. Last couple months it has taken to running very slow and locking up almost every time she uses Chrome or IE to go to a web site.

I have checked our Internet connection and have I have cleaned it up best I can. Says disk is only 3% fragmented so wouldn't let me do that.

We are running Windows 7 Pro on it. I update everything pretty regularly.

It has been fine for 4 years and started freezing up on IE. I set her p on Chrome and went for 6 months being fine. Recently started running slow and freezing up on Chrome also.

What can I check to diagnose where the problem is? Is part of her RAM broken? I'm not a great computer expert but can follow instructions.
