Hello,

I have a Acer Predator XB271HU bmiprz 27" WQHD (2560x1440) NVIDIA G-SYNC IPS Monitor, (Display Port & HDMI Port, 144Hz) being driven by an EVGA Geforce GTX 980 on A Ryzen 5 1600. It randomly will have no signal with the display port when I do a cold boot up. The happens infrequently sometimes weeks go by without this happening.  The only work around I have found is using the reset button on my case.  Sometimes it will happen two days in a row and sometimes it can go up to a month with seeing this issue.  I am using the displayport cable that came with the monitor.  Not sure what else to try.

Restarting and reconnecting your devices is something that you should definitely give a try. It is a simple but sometimes effective way to fix the issue. To perform this method please follow the steps below.
Completely turn off your computer and monitor and unplug their power cables.
    Unplug their DisplayPort connection.
Leave them for a couple of minutes.
Connect the DisplayPort cable back to the computer and monitor.
Plug the power cables back and power the devices on.
If this fix is useful, your DisplayPort connection will work now.

Note that just unplugging the power and immediately plugging it back in does nothelp at all. You really have to wait for quite some time.
