Hi i have my

Predator G3-572

Model Name: G3-572

Part Number: NH.Q2CEK.001

i wonder if the motherboard would support intel optane memory as i already know its supports ssd nvme which i was thinking in upgrade when i can but if it supports optane memory i would upgrade to optane instead and get a 4tb 2.5hdd or something as what i understood about optane memory it makes even the normal hdds faster specially in gaming but as i said dunno if the board i have with the core I5 supports any ideas ?

There isn't a laptop that supports optane memory yet. To support optane memory 7th gen CPU is needed and 200 series chipset or newer. Unfortunately, G3-572 is running with 100 series chipset.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Thanks for the answer that was just what i wanted to know if the chipset would support it but oh well an WD Black nvme either 512 or 1tb will have to do to replace my  liteon 128gb m.2 ssd (i know that only 512gb nvme recomended for the helios 300 but i wonder if it this board would work with 1tb nvme if not 512 will have to do) i was looking at samsung but its a bit more expensive and the speed its just a bit faster that wd on price comparison

Yeah, the recommended size is 512GB, but I don't really see a reason why 1TB wouldn't work.

It is not only about speed, samsung SSDs(especially PRO) tend to last longer, which means they can sustain more write cycles.
