i tried to install HP s700 m.2 120gb into the port in my Acer Swift 1 (sf113-31) but the bios and windows 10 does not recognize.Does the swift 1 only accepts specific brand or capacity of M.2 2280 ssd drive? is this compatibility issue?

Silly question perhaps, but did you make sure the SATA function is enabled in the UEFI setup?  There is an option to turn it off in there, and maybe yours got turned off somehow.  Mine was ON by default.

I have a Samsung 860 Evo 1TB in my Swift 1 (113-31 also), and it works very nicely.  I've read reports of lots of people using smaller drives than that with the Swift 1 with success, from several different SSD manufacturers.  It seems that it should work!

I bought a M.2 to SATA 2.5 inch adapter for my SSD for testing purposes, just in case I need it.  It was $10 at a local electronics chain, and works quite well.  Perhaps you could get something like that (or perhaps you would prefer a USB 3 one) and ensure the drive works in a different computer... maybe the SSD is defective.

The Swift was a good deal when it just had a 64 GB eMMC, but with the SSD, it's even better.  Good luck getting it working.
