in 2015 I bought 3 monitors (Acer K2 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440 LED Widescreen Monitor HDMI DVI - K272HUL bmiidp) that  all started to exhibit the same fails after about 3 years within weeks of one another:
The display goes dark, and they won't respond to any button being pushed. If you disconnect them from power (disconnect the cord, trying to turn them off does not work/help)  for a sufficiently long time (>1h or so) they come back fully functional until they fail again after some time (as soon as within minutes or after a few to days).
This seems to be a common issue (all three out of my 3!) that I hope someone else ran into  as well and found a solution.

Yes, both my monitors do this as well! I purchased them one month apart in 2015.
