I recently bought the predator 15 G9-593.  It has an i7-7700hq processor and a gtx1070 gpu. When using the predator sense app I am able to run games on Normal and Faster mode but as soon as i put the app into turbo any game that is currently running will get graphical glitches then the games will crash.  This has happened while playing Witcher 3, Final Fantasy IV, GTA V, and several others.

I have removed/reinstalled the predator sence app, I am currently using the latest drivers for the gpu, am full updated with windows 10, and the Acer care center says I have all the latest updates.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Turbo mode overclocks the GPU only. It increases the clock speeds of core and vram, but doesn't increase voltage and power limit. It is possible that you are unlucky with this GPU and it is unable to overclock very well and crashes on "turbo" preset.

If I remember correctly faster overclocks the core frequency by 70MHz and turbo -140MHz. The gain between faster and turbo is practically unoticable.

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

Yeah I agree with ven98, likely the GPU is not good at the increased frequency / power load at the standard voltage.  Mostly OC of the GPU is more of an expected feature, than anything spectacular, even on Turbo will only raise FPS by 5-7 IMHO not worth the additional power draw and temperature.  Not sure about all the games, however I've seem as a high as 125W on my G9-793 (GTX 1070) playing Witcher 3...

Try this; revert to Nvidia Driver 388.71 or 390.77 might just prove to be a little less power hungry, also check the GPU temps are reasonable.
