I noticed that there was a XTU3SERVICE running on my G3-571 before i had even installed Intel Xtreme Tuning Utility... I'm not sure why its there... Could it be associated with the PredatorSense App in some way...?

Yes, set up ThrottleStop, test it.  When you set up Task Scheduler, set a delay for TS to start. I opted for 2 minutes (type in your value, ignore the dropdown menu options) This is how I have my Predator 17 (G9-793) set up with zero issue.

n.b. this is for the XTU service included with the stock Acer build, not the full Intel XTU install.

    Hi,
I also have it running in my G9-793 and I haven't installed it, I think it's part of Intel Rapid Storage technology, I would suggest you to leave it alone, Windows OS will manage your services efficiently.

I believe the XTU service is for PredatorSense so the SW can read out the CPU frequency and on some models overclock the CPU.  If one suspends the XTU service PredatorSense no longer shows the CPU frequency (G9-793).

For those considering undervolting with ThrottleStop, just set a delay in auto starting via Task Scheduler to avoid any conflict, no need to remove or suspend XTU.

If you had undervolted using XTU, revert them to defaults before undervolting on TS.
