Adding ssd and ram to my acer aspire e14 (e5-475g-30ky)

Can i use pcie m.2 nvme ssd for my laptop to use as boot drive?
Right now it has a 1tb HDD 5400rpm but it is kind of slow so i would want to upgrade with an ssd but i would want to keep the HDD as i find it wasteful if i discard it by using a 2.5in ssd instead.

Also I added 4gb ram
when i used speccy to check the specs it shows that i have a 2133 ddr4 ram but with the crucial computer scan it showed that i have a 2400 mhz ddr4 ram. When the computer technician opened the laptop the ram is 2400 mhz, why did speccy indicated 2133? I bought a 4gb 2400 mhz ddr4 ram but still speccy is showing that i now have 8gb 2133mhz ddr4 ram. Is the laptop lowering the ram speed?

Yes, the maximum supported memory speed is 2133MHz, so the modules are downclocked to 2133MHz, as for the compatibility of NVMe SSD, download HWiNFO 64 program, run it, expand Bus, expand PCI Bus, highlight all PCI Express Root Ports and check the value for Maximum Link Width, if you find one of them has the value of 2x, then you can install a NVMe SSD, please read this thread for more information.

For the ram, so that means i wasted money on buying a 2400mhz one? or could i change the clock speed to 2400 on this laptop?
Is this the one i'm supposed to be looking for? So that means i can add a pcie m.2 nvme ssd?

Hello, is it okay to use 2666mhz DDR4 ram? I already installed 8gb DDR4 2666mhz on the second ram slot and I'm planning to replace the default ram installed on my laptop. When i checked the default ram its a 2400mhz. What will happen if I put 2 2666mhz on my laptop? Btw, i have the same laptop model (Acer Aspire E14 E5-475G). TYIA.

And answering your question, yes, you can install DDR4-2666 in your laptop if it's cheaper for you to buy than DDR4-2133; it'll just be running at that 2133 MHz because it's the maximum clock speed the memory controller of that processor / chipset can handle.

That I know of, any higher clock speed RAM stick also has an SPD (read: supports) running at 2133.

Hi, I have the unit mentioned above. I would like to ask which port # (from HWinfo64 app) should I post for you to check the ssd compatibility? There is an M2 slot on my motherboard, but when I inquired to the online shop to buy one, they mentioned that my laptop is only compatible with SATA SSD.
