Laptop Aspire E5 has been updating, after which the keyboard will not work. Restarting a few times seems to resolve it, but it should not be this way. Any ideas how to correct this?

    If you can, open Device Manager. Uninstall the keyboard driver. Exit. Reboot and try letting Windows re-detect and automatically re-install the driver. Jack E/NJ

    Thanks. Did that, it worked to allow me to login to windows, as soon as I opened a browser, it ceased working again. Any thoughts?

    If it helps, the laptop mousepad no longer works either. Not sure if it is related. I use an external mouse so no big impact there. Thanks again!

    >>> I opened a browser>>>

    Which browser? Edge? Intnenet Explorer? Chrome? Firefox? Safari?

    What's your E5 model number?

    Edge, IE. Also happens when browser is not open, and while working in Word. Or even typing in the search box, nothing, not even CTRL+ALT+DEL works.
