I have Nitro 5 an515-51.
When I bought this laptop (dec-2017) inbuilt WiFi hotspot feature was working. but after usage of two week it suddenly stopped working. I was able to connect device to hotspot but there was no internet access in connected device. Then after installing new ssd I reinstalled OS, this time also hotspot worked for around two weeks and then stopped working.
I have tried all the solutions found on internet like turning on internet sharing from adapter options, reinstalling drivers... etc. I also tried to uninstall all the updates I received after installing OS but, non of them worked.
Is anyone having this problem?
How do I make it work?

Please try the below mentioned steps and check if the issue is resolved. :
    >>>Create a wireless Hosted Network
While in Command Prompt (Admin) enter the following command:
    NETSH WLAN set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=Your_SSID key=Your_Passphrase
Where the SSID would be the name you want to identify your wireless network when trying to connect a new device, and the passphrase is the network security key you want users to use to connect to your network. (Remember that the passphrase has to be at least 8 characters in length.)
Once you created a Hosted Network, enter the following command to activate it:
    NETSH WLAN start hostednetwork

    >>>Run Network Adapter Troubleshooter
Type Troubleshoot in the Search bar of your PC and open the Troubleshoot settings.
Scroll down the right pane and select ‘Network Adapter’ and click on ‘Run Troubleshooter’.
The PC will then start checking for the possible errors and will possibly detect the issue.

    >>>Change Adapter Settings Via Registry Editor
Type regedit in Start menu and open Registry Editor. Right-click and select Run as administrator. Now navigate to the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WlanSvc\Parameters\HostedNetworkSettings\
Right-click on HostedNetworkSettings in the right pane and select Delete.

    >>>Also, Resetting Windows Defender Firewall Settings
Press Windows + S to launch the search bar. Type “settings”. Once in settings, open the sub-category of Update and Security.Once in the menu, click on “Windows Defender” present at the left side of the screen.Click on “Open Windows Defender Security Center” so we can access Firewall settings.Click on the network icon present at the left side of the screen. Navigate to the bottom and select “Restore firewalls to default”.Windows will now confirm your actions. Press “Restore defaults”. After the reset is complete, restart your computer and check if the problem is solved.

    thanks for the reply.

    • in command prompt, when I type "netsh wlan show drivers" it says hosted network in not supported
    • network adapter troubleshooter couldn't identify the problem.
    • tried both registry change and reset firewall but non of them worked
