Laptop 1.9 years old, could game for any amount of time before, but now around 4-5 hours/ battery 41-39% BAM... SHUTDOWN in only 5 minutes of gaming, I know know because I have to keep constantly checking battery level.  Of note, from 100%- 90 =2+hours gaming, from 50% to 48% can allow 20 minutes gaming, but below 41% there is a critical drain to under 8%.  1st this sucks, 2nd my rig shuts down with a CPU at 90C++ (not commenting on thermal paste/ heat issues with this model).   I have almost always run undervolted around 130-150, due to heat issues, and not undervolting results in critical battery drain 25%-35% faster!!!

PLEASE don't tell me to
1-get a new battery
2-get the higher volt charger that they SELL NOW, BUT NOT WHEN THE LAPTOP CAME OUT
3- OR ASK what game... doesn't matter, its serveral

Specs, G9-591, i7 6700HQ, GTX 980M 4Gb, 16Gb Ram

Big thanks for any advice, or even just say the product is a fail and move on... BUT not to another ACER

    >>Try to perform a simple power reset and check the issue. Shutdown the laptop. Disconnect the charger. Please check for a battery reset PIN hole at the bottom of the device. The reset hole would have a battery symbol next to it. Insert a paperclip into the hole and press for four seconds. Let the computer sit for 5 minutes with no power. Reconnect the charger and power On the laptop.

    >>Open device manager. Expand the entry named Batteries by clicking on the side arrow associated with it. As next, right click on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and click on the Uninstall option. click on the tab named Action and then to click on the option Scan for hardware changes. Restart the device and check the issue.

    >>
Also check the current version of BIOS  and make sure that your device has the latest version installed. Upgrading your system BIOS incorrectly could harm your Acer product. Please proceed with caution.

Your battery calibration is off! You wouldn't get 20 mins for 2% battery drain while playing a game. That is... just... impractical!
Install battery bar or similar software to check your battery wear. At 2 years, it should have degraded by atleast 10-20%.

Wait, i am not sure i understood. You play for about 4, 5 hours on battery with that machine?

Or are you saying that the battery drains even when the laptop is plugged in?

HUGE THANKS, this seems to have fixed the issue, battery drains to just over 30%, then stops draining and had it stable at 31-33% for the next hour of gaming.  This is what it did when I first got the laptop.
