Dear Acer
Dear Predator 17 G9 793 users.

I would like to ask you if this is normal:

When idle, at very low fan speeds, while going UP of DOWN the RPM of the right fan produces a light "whistle" sound.
When the fan passes the "whistle RPM" area then its normal.
Under full load (max fans speed) its perfectly normal. This only happens at low fan speeds.

The noise appears at around 2300RPM

Is it the CPU or GPU on the right exhaust?

Is it normal?
Do you experience a similar situation?

If Acer let the users tweak the fan speed, I could put it a bit higher so that it will be above the "whistle RPM" then the problem will be solved.

Thanks for your input.

It could very well be something as simple as dust buildup causing the whistle.

    Hello,
    Thanks for your reply.
The computer is brand new, just opened. So there cant be dust in there, yet :)
    Do you experience the same?

It really depends on your interpretation of a "whistle" sound.
Of course laptop fans having a smaller motor might come off as whistley to some.
It's hard for me to accurately say without hearing it myself.
