Hi there,

I just bought a WD Blue 3D NAND SATA SSD M.2 2280 and have installed it into the port in my Acer Swift 1 (sf113-31). I bought that SSD specifically because there are several videos on YouTube of people installing it and Bios immediately recognizing it. The problem is that neither Bios nor Disk Management sees this SSD. I removed the port and reinserted it and still nothing. The only difference I can see between my computer and the ones in the video is that their Bios is v1.05 and mine is v1.10.

I've looked online but it doesn't appear that others have had this problem. I'm only using the SSD as storage and am not attempting to move my operating system onto it.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

I figured it out. Embarrassingly I did not insert the SSD into the slot, but instead just underneath it. I can't figure out how to delete this question now. If someone has the capability please feel free to delete this.

Just seconding the above.  It is apparently really easy to do.  Make sure you actually put it in the slot, not under the slot.
