So I got a Predator g3-710(not sure anymore in all honesty, done too much fidling around with that thing but it had a i5-6400, 8gigs of 2133 and a gtx 970 when new) but Im forced to switch the RAM (upgraded to 16 gigs of 2133 a year ago) on that thing due to another rig needing said sticks and Im wondering if the motherboard officially supports 2400mhz as those sticks are currently cheaper than 2133s.  So yeah...That question is worded horribly.... "Does this machine support 2400MHz DDR4 RAM?"

So the answer is no, the 6th gen B150 chipset is designed for 2133MHz DDR4 memory.

It will likely work, but the new memory will still run at 2133MHz. You motherboard only supports running the memory at the speed the chipset allows, so buying faster memory is just a waste of your money. If your model has the 7th gen chips installed instead of the 6th it supports 2400MHz, but all memory installed need to be 2400 in order to run at that speed. If you have any 2133 in it will run at 2133.
BTW, the G-SKILL memory you list is actually 2133MHz, and only runs faster when XMP is enabled, and XMP is not supported in the G3-710, so it would run at 2133MHz regardless of whether your system is 6th gen or 7th gen.
