Hi Community,
I have an Acer Aspire A515-51G-51Z7, running a i5-8250u and a GT940MX graphics card, with a 768 TN screen. I wish to upgrade to a 1080p screen at some point in the future. After doing some research, I found almost the exact same model laptop with a 1080p screen, (just with a i5-7200u), the Aspire A515-51G-54GK (https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/model/NX.GSTAA.001). If the laptop is practically the same in every way, it's just the LCD screen that's different right? I am sure that my screen connecter is a 30 pin one, so would displays like these work? https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/screen-part-number/B156HAN06.1/. I'm really not worried about the size, but mainly just if the connector is the same and if my motherboard will support and recognise it as a 1080p screen.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
