I have Acer Aspire R5-471T model and my touchpad is glitching all the time. Recently the left and right click stopped working. So any click anywhere it considers as just single left click. It's annoying and frustrating. What's more frustrating is that the touchpad driver is not listed on the support website (under my model) and when I called to support, they told me they can't help with this issue. Why is Acer not providing necessary drivers to the computers they produce? Where can i find a driver to my model?

    Hi,
Could you please go to BIOS settings (Press F2 as soon as you press Power button), move to Main tab, check whether Touchpad is in Advanced mode, if it's in Basic mode, switch to Advanced mode, press F10 to save and exit.
Hi! Thanks for your answer. Yes, it's in advanced mode.
Also off topic question: do you have Power management menu on your BIOS? Mine doesnt.
    Hi,
You could try reinstalling driver for HID-compliant mouse, go to Device manager, go to Properties for HID-compliant mouse, then uninstall the driver in Driver tab, reboot and let Windows install the driver.
As for the Power management, no there are no Advanced settings option in BIOS.

You could give this program a try just remember to tick or untick any unwanted options when installing good luck.
