Windows 7 on G3-572

I got vexed with the constant force push of updates on Windows 10, and installed Windows 7 home premium. Loaded all drivers and everything works pretty well.
I have two minor nuisances though:
1. Touch pad: I cannot seem to enable the "advanced" option in bios since Windows 7 cannot recognize it. It is recognized only when set to Basic. This effectively does not make use features like scroll n such.
2. GTX 1060 seems be on turbo pretty much.
I did manage to get Predator sense working on this, and this I could verify by playing with fan speeds in the app, and seeing the fans stop and go to max speeds as i move the speeds. Also I see the CPU and Graphics processor speeds and utilization on the app. The only hitch is that even if i select Normal, it still seems to go turbo speeds and not be limited at Normal speeds.

Did anyone install Windows 7 on this and get these features working?

The second point above is more important to me... i do not want my graphics card get to overclock speeds, and stay put at 1404 max. Help please.

How did you install W7 in your notebook? is it a predator helios 300 right? did you have to put bios on legacy mode?  had you any issues installing the drivers? (above all the chipset one) could you make make a sort of guide with suggestion and tips to make W7 to work on predator helios 300 notebooks?
Your help would be really appreciated

I created a separate thread for the topic to keep it to itself: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/545220/manual-installing-windows-7-on-g3-572

    I hope this helps.

So... after playing with windows 10 for a while, I went back to 7... kinda just love 7 :-)

Ran two benchmarks with performance plan and then my standard lazy load plan... and quite surprisingly my lazy load beat the performance plan.

Never was able to come anywhere close to this while on Windows 10.

G3-572, Windows 7, TS, performance power plan, all software loaded

Way to go! Congrats. Now that's what's called a practical Windows upgrade. Jack E/NJ
