Hi guys,

This is my first post here.

I am having an issue with the forst core unable to fit into the CD driver slot of my predator 15.

I have seen youtube videos that the forst core should fit as easy as the cd driver, however mine seems to keep stopping about 5mm to 10mm like it is hitting onto something.

The part number stated on the frost core is NC 2381 1031.

Can anyone help?

Alex

    Hi,
When you insert it, it won't go all the way in, it will stay as in my first snip, then gently push with your fingers in the middle section of it to click in to position.

Hi thank you for the reply but I guess I did not fully understand what you meant by press the middle portion gently.

I tried with force and it still does not click in.

    Am I missing something here?

Possible to show a video clip of what you actually meant?

    Hi,
Have a look at the video @ 3:40 onwards, a slight push in the middle area but don't apply too much force, I don't want you to break the locking mechanism.

Yes I saw this video before, that's why I feel strange that mine is stuck.

It will never click  as it will not budge and it is suppose to be an easy job without using much force.

I reckon it should be as easy as the dvd piece.

Mine can remove and fit the dvd with no force at all.

    Hi,
Have you opened the back cover for any upgrade or maintenance? If not something might be obstructing, perhaps a screw or something else, I would suggest you to get it fixed under warranty, if possible.

No I have not open it for anything before.

I guess I need to contact them for help.

FrostCore should snap into place with relative ease.  Given the DVD ROM drive fits, rather suggests there's something amiss with the FrostCore, maybe some "flashing" left behind from the moulding process.
