I get an irritating, irritating buzz all the time. It started with a Win10 update. I need a sound card fix for my SW3-013. I've done all Win 10 updates, and for speakers, even BIOS, uninstalled/installed drivers (and previous editions), and still get an irritating tinny sound. A little help?

    (1) Does it buzz when not plugged in? (2) Does it also buzz in headphones (3) Is it also tinny sounding on a hard flat surface? (4) Is system protection enabled so Win10 updates automatically create restore points? Jack E/NJ

@revjek >>>The tinny sound is constant, across all speakers and headphones, and from all sources. The system protection is an issue, but I can't do anything about it because my computer did not set a restore point before the last major Win10 update. From what I can see, the only option I have is a new and better sound driver. I'm open to lots of things at this point. Thanks. >>>

OK. F2 into the BIOS menu Main tab and make sure D2D recovery and F12 boot menu are both enabled. Save settings and exit. Reboot from a completely off state. Then on turning it on (don't wait for the ACER boot logo screen), immediately press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key till the recovery screen appears as in the video below. Follow instructions to refresh instead of reset the machine to factory Win10 state. After being refreshed, quickly enable system protection so that Win10 updates can be rolled back from an automatic restore point when a problem like this arises. You might want to temporarily turn off your router during refresh so an update can't sneak in before making sure that system protection is turned on. Jack E/NJ
