Hello to everybody, after upgrading  to 1803 build, having my laptop an intel ssd (ssdpekkw256g7), I was having few issues, as crashes when unplugged, mouse stuttering, lag on open programs and so on, so I decided to operate a factory reset by Acer recovery Management, with the intention to rollback to 1703 build that was the one which my laptop came out of the box with.  But, with my great disappointment, after the reset process , I discovered that the system kept the build 1803 instead of installing the 1703 build, is there any way to avoid that windows keeps the bugged build (1803) instead of the pre-installed one ?  Any help would be appreciated

I am also wondering  if anyone that has made a factory reset, encountered this problem.
    Thanks in advance

The fix is to update your Intel SSD firmware using this tool.

    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27656/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Toolbox

All crashes fixed and no reason to rollback.
Let me know if any issues remain.

Thanks for your help  l will try this way, but is there any way to make a factory reset having back the build that was installed out of the box(1703) instead of the 1803 one?
    Thanks in advance

Yup, just get yourself a 16gb blank pen drive and use Acer Care Center to create a recovery USB.. It will use your system restore partition to create the drive and you will have a factory default USB permanently.. 👌

Thanks again for replaying, I actually already made a recovery usb with acer care center but I think I' ve done it when my system was at that time upgraded to 1709 build and that is the build that came out from the factory reset (booting with recovery the usb pen)
Any chance to have the 1703 build back?

That I'm not too sure of..
Have you tried updating Intel SSD?
You may not even want to rollback?

That link to the ssd Intel fix is not for the 1803 issue with Intel 600 series drives like the op has (he has the same drive as me, the ssdpekkw256g7 .

That Intel fix link is from March.  The new problem is from the past two weeks...1803 based... and there is no fix yet.  A revert back to 1709 is what I did to cure my issue until Ms/Intel work out the 1803 problem.

I don't know how one reverts to way earlier oses like 1703.  Unless you have a full system backup done with say Macrium Reflect when you had 1703... and then fully reload that old image with all partitions.  I only use Macrium myself to create clean install images where upon restore of an image, I only have one partition rather than the multiple type oft used for recovery partitions, windows subsidary partitions etc.

At any rate, if you still have all your factory partitions in place, you can revert to 1709 at the settings, recovery page where one of the prompts will be to revert to 1709.  Again... assuming 1709 was what you had running last week.

If you want to do a clean install, there is a link online for a direct download of 1703.  Once installed, also be sure to install any/all Acer drivers that win10 1703 doesn't catch.  You could even do the clean install on one single partition if you want to (like I do with Macrium).  Then image the completed 1703 setup in case you want to reload the image from that starter place in the future.

Thanks to everybody trying to resolve this problem,  anyway I still don't understand the reason  which I can't get back to the pre-installed build (1703) when  I operate a  "Factory reset" (that actually it is not), using acer recovery management, that should get me the system just like the way it came out of the box!

That link to the ssd Intel fix is not for the 1803 issue...
I only suggested because of the hundreds of BSOD and crashes when unplugged I had in my Helios group that were all fixed by installing this Intel SSD update on their system.

Anyway its still my suggestion to do so and also my suggestion to always be on the latest update of windows.
If you decide to go to 1703 there is a website that downloads directly from Microsoft's servers and uploads the builds as they are released
