G3-571 2018 updates

So we're almost in the 6th month of 2018 and there haven't been any updates since 2017 for the Helios 300 g3-571. Has support for the product dropped? Will there be any further development for this laptop? The current software isn't what you would call perfect, wondering if I should start looking for a replacement....

    Hi,
    what is the OS on the unit. Go to settings and try to initiate the updates manually. if its not working then try to run update troubleshooter in the control panel.IF still it shows an error then do a reset on the unit.

    if I wanted microsoft to update my computer i'd buy a macintosh


    literally every single driver on acer's support page (for g3-571) is from 2017

    Hi,
    its the drivers date when at the time of updating it on the site. You will have to update it after installing it.
    1. Click Start, then right-click My Computer (or Computer) and click Manage.
    2. In the Computer Management window, on the left, click Device Manager.
    3. Click the + sign in front of the device category you want to check.
    4. Double-click the device for which you need to know the driver version.
    5. Select the Driver tab.
    6. Same way go to Device Manager and update the driver software. It will automatically update when you restart the computer,but if shows an error you can try this way.

    8. instead of checking each drivers go to control panel and check for updates. if it shows as you computer is up to date then every driver is updated.

    i'm completely aware of when the drivers are dated, how to install them and what day it is.

    I'm wondering if ACER is going to develop any further improvements for their hardware drivers and software...nothing newer than 2017 is listed on the support page
