Acer Aspire A515-51G keyboard not working in Windows, but works in BIOS
My laptop kept getting blue screen errors. After scanning for malware and updating the drivers using Driverpack Solution, the built-in keyboard stopped working. An exteral USB keyboard works just fine, but the built-in keyboard does not.
In Device Manager, under Keyboards, the only one installed is the USB keyboard (HID Keyboard Device). Showing hidden drivers does not reveal any other keyboard installed (I was hoping to see the Standard PS/2 keyboard driver). Also, there is no unknown device or anything similar in the Device Manager. I have also tried to do a battery reset, but it did not solve the problem.
However, when enetring the BIOS or the Windows repair, the built-in keyboard works just fine, so it is not a hardware problem.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
