Acer Nitro 5 Spin can't find my Wi-Fi
Hello everyone,
I have just bought an Acer Nitro 5 Spin and I have already used it to connect to Wi-Fi at work and at some other places; it worked fine. Weird enough, I am not being able to connect to the Wi-Fi where I need the most, at home. For some reason, my laptop can't find my Wi-Fi network. I have other two laptops and two cell phones, they all can see my Wi-Fi network and they work fine. Just my Acer Nitro Spin 5 can't find it. It finds some other networks (like, from my neighbors), but it don't see my home Wi-Fi.
I saw some similar issues on Google and I have already tried all the things listed below without success:
- Restart computer;
- Restart the router and modem;
- Uninstall and install again the Wi-Fi drivers;
- Update the Wi-Fi drivers (I have already updated to the latest version - 12.0.0.312);
- Change the wireless mode;
- Disable anti-virus;
None of the above worked.
My hardware details and configurations follows below:
- Wi-Fi adapter: Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A
- Wi-Fi adapter driver version: 12.0.0.312
- Wireless mode selected on the PC driver: 11 a/b/g/n/ac
- Wireless mode selected on the router: 11 b/g/n mixed
On my router I have selected an "unusual" channel for my Wi-Fi (channel 13). Could that be the problem?
Anybody knows what could be happening? Any help will be extremely appreciated!
Regards,
Fabio
