I haven't been able to find anything on this issue, maybe poor keyword choices, not sure. but I run a multi monitor setup and one screen is 4k while the rest are 1080, but they are all 27 inch panels so it's a bit of a pain that only half my screen edge is really there to go over to the next panel. is there a way to resize a panel or force a downscale on the 1080 panels or something so they play nice with each other?

The only thing you can do to allow all the side of the 4K to allow smooth movement to a 1080P on the side is drop the resolution for the 4K to 1080P or stack two 1080Ps to the side of the 4K. I have a 4K, a 3K and a 1080P sitting side by side and I see the same issue... Maybe someday MS will handle mis-matched monitor resolutions better.
