What is the full model number of your Aspire 3 device?
If there was any update, please go device manager -> sound, video and game controllers.
right click the audio device -> properties -> driver tab -> Roll Back Driver

if this does not work you can right click the audio deice in device manager, uninstall and reboot, you will be prompted to reinstall when you reboot the computer.

You can also go back to a restore point when everything worked.
