Hi
Have an Acer E-15 start (ES1 -512-C5YW) (N2840, 4gb ram, 8.1)
Not the most expensive of laptops so just looking to update cost effectively.

Has windows 8.1 Bing installed, looking to update to Windows 10, can i still do this for free? Have the product key from NirSoft’s ProduKey.
But would prefer 10 professional (less bloat) how much would this cost, have seen for £5 on ebay?

At the same time thinking of fitting 120gb SSD have seen for £25, https://www.mymemory.co.uk/integral-120gb-p-series-5-sata-iii-2-5-ssd-drive-560mb-s.html . Would this fit do i need anything else?
Understand that i can download W10 to usb and boot from it, to install to SSD.

Memory, appears to have only 1 memory bank which max is 8gb, about £60. Think SSD would be better investment.

I have a backed up of my files/pics etc and just have done a 'create system image' to a back up hdd.
So basically hoping to have a wiped machine, with win 10 pro on a SSD.

Thinking of now trying to upgrade to Win10 then pro (£5 ebay key) onto hdd.
Key will be then stored, put in ssd and boot from USB with pro on it?

Looking for some pointers though, as never done this before.

Thanks
