My accer must have the operating discs to be able to run.  It is now very slow and takes forever to open and shut down.  How to I get a set of these operating discs that came with my computer on purchase.

if this is windows 7, you can download an .iso from MS's website and use rufus or simliar to make a bootable usb stick (probably worth downloading the drivers for your machine from acers website too)

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows7

if you updated to windows 10, then you can use the media creation tool from MS to do the same

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10

then boot from the usb stick and the install will start off (make sure you have made a backup of any files you want to keep as it'll wiped the lot and do a clean install for best effect)

The specification says that your device was shipped with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Edition.
Recovery media is not necessary to recover your computer. You can use Acer Recovery Management to reinstall your Operating System from a hidden partition built into your computer. If you have replaced your original hard drive, you will not have Recovery Management, and will need to install windows using Recovery disks.
During the process, all data stored on your computer will be overwritten.

Use the following steps to start the system recovery:
Restart the computer. When the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the left Alt, and the F10 keys.
If you are prompted with a Microsoft Windows boot screen, press the Enter key.
After the Acer eRecovery Management application has loaded, select your restore type.
Read the notice, and then click Next when you are ready.
Click Next to begin the restore process. The restore can take anywhere from 10 minutes up to an hour.
Once the restore is complete your computer will load Windows and start installing your drivers and software. Your computer may reboot several times during this process. After everything is complete your computer will be like it was when you first purchased it.
