No power to Headset

Hello

When I plug into the USB the screen inside the headset doesn’t turn on like I’ve seen in other setup vids...soon as it goes into a USB there is a blue light that emitts through the lens.

I do have visual on the PC monitor, you can see the image move around, just nothing through the headset.

The headset is slightly warm to the touch so there seems to be power.

Also using a Windows 10 on a iMac 5k.

Also having trouble pairing up the controllers, the left controller pairs but not the right.

Any help would be appreciated

thanks

I bought one of these on amazon, installed and had the same problem. I do not have an ACER laptop but I got the okiedokie from compatibility check from Microsoft. I played with this all day trying to get it to work finally calling ACER tech support. I would have expected a whole bunch of questions on what i had done and what the screen looks like but after getting the serial number the analyst said I needed to send it in for repair 7 to 10 days to fix.  NO I said this is brand spanky new,  I will send back to amazon and get my money back. I did that, and ordered another right away. Well guess what? The next one had the same problem. I have to ask with the two pieces of evidence, lack of interest at tech support and the fact that I have two with the same problem and the one in this original post, does Acer have a manufacturing problem that has a bunch of defective headsets out there. Rather than tell the public they are letting the user find them and deal with it?

Thanks for the reply, yes I checked th3 info you provided, however it doesnt really go into if you’re using a Mac with Win 10 os. The usb port is 3.0 and I assume powers the unit, which when plugged in, the head unit is warm so I know its getting power but the the screen doesnt turn on. The monitor itself brings me to the vr room and when I move the headset around it moves around in room on the monitor just no images in the actual headset.

The first link only shows Acer Laptops. Are you saying you think that the ACER headset only works with Acer laptops? Seems like if I run the compatibility program from Microsoft, and get the "your good" then the compatibility issue is solved or am I thinking wrong?

@Babymonkeystuff it's not that only Acer units are compatible with MR headset. Any device with that configuration settings meets the requirements to use MR headset.

Okay I am trying to say is that I have met the requirements. I also got the okay from Microsoft. The thing doesn't light up. Acer Tech support says, without asking a question,  I gotta send it to them cause it is defective. I sent that back, I got a second headset, same problem. The original post here is the same problem.

@Babymonkeystuff I'm probably a bit late, but did you launch Mixed Reality Portal and set up the headset? HMD won't display anything until you properly connect it, set it up via Mixed Reality Portal and let it update its firmware.
