    Hi,

Please try to disable start up applications from task manager.

Press and hold Windows + shift + esc to launch it, click on startup and disable the ones which you dont need during startup. then try clean boot.

press and hold Windows + R > type msconfig and press enter > click on services tab and bottom this page check the box which says hide all microsoft sevices. Now click on disable all and click apply to restart the device.

Doing this will increase the performance and also you can try to increase virtual memory your device. Follow the steps in the below mentioned link.

Might be worth it going through your Startup applications and disable everything you dont need (as mentioned above) as well as msconfig to disable any non microsoft services.

I would take it a step further and uninstall any Software that you dont need or want.
Uninstall any 3rd party virus/malware removal tools and have the built-in windows application deal with it.
Run Disk Cleanup in administrative mode and remove any unnecessary files.
If your hard disk drive space is low, delete any unncessary or old files to make room.
If your laptop only has 2GB of RAM, consider upgrading to at least 4GB.

Well the computer is doing something. You can hit ctrl-alt-del and select "Task Manager" from the menu then the Processes tab and I suspect either CPU or Memory is near 100%. If CPU it is probably doing updates.  If memory then it is swapping. For Windows 10, 2GB is a minimum and 4GB is much better.
