I hit F12 at Acer logo and I get boot menu selection. There is only one option - the boot sequence - and it is already highlighted. Arrows do nothing because there is only one option. Hitting ENTER should open the boot sequence editor, one would think. Nope. It acts like Esc and dumps me back into the normal Windows 10 boot up and then the desktop.

Any ideas?

    Hi,

May i know the reason for accessing the boot menu selection options. If you are trying to install a different operating system using USB drive or CD/DVD then please try the below steps.

    1. During powering on the device keep tapping F2 to access BIOS menu.
    2. use arrow keys to navigate and to go security. here disable the secure boot and go to boot tab
    3. change the boot mode from UEFI to Legacy ( if you are trying to install a lower version of your operating system )
    4. change the boot priority order to USB or CD/DVD
    5. press F10 and hit enter to launch OS installation.
