Aspire Laptop Model 5516 shows connection but won’t open webpage.

My Aspire Laptop which is a Model 5516 shows that it has a strong wireless connection to my WiFi but when I go to open Internet Explorer it gives me Error 404 and I can’t load any websites. I feel like I’ve literally tried everything, from turning off the firewall to uninstalling the driver and nothing will work. When opening the Command Prompt to try and fix it I almost always get the error about ‘this request requires elevation’, anyone help me out here?

You must run/open the command prompt as an administrator to avoid the elevation request. Click on the WiFi signal strength icon to see if you have internet access displayed. Jack E/NJ

Does your other devices access the internet? Also 404 means that the page not found meaning that the page that you're trying to access has been deleted or discontinued. If every other website works and only the page gives you 404, then it's website's problem.

Alongside that, if your other devices access the internet and only not this one, check for JackE's response or also try posting here we'll guide you to do a 2.4ghz/5ghz check on you. Cheers m8.
