Issue with My laptops LEFT HINGE

I bought an Acer Aspire F5-573G-54MK 7 months ago. The left hinge of my device is broken in half and the plastic protecting the screen has come out a little bit too. I niether cannot close the laptop screen nor can I open the screen completely. Otherwise, the laptop is working perfectly but since I cannot close the screen I have to carry it open. What should i do, because I purchased this device in India and Im in Australia now. Im very careful on this device and I have never let it fall. It suddenly happened without any reason. After reading all the discussions I noticed that it's not just me that has been having a problem I'm the left hinge of Aspire F5-573G laptops. I still have the warranty but Acer as it has just been 7 months since I bought the laptop. But since I am in Australia and not India, I don't know what to do. It looks like it is a company manufacturing fault as I have read about several cases with the safe LEFT HINGE problem. I need a reply asap.

Please help me.

Hey Shivam, I think your warranty won't work and you probably have to pay for repairs because of a Bona Fide Traveler policy.

Well, I think the problem is more surreal than you think. All I can do is oxymora but that's it. I have an instinct that you'll be charged.

i think you will still be charged because of the 4th point in the link.

However, don't take my word for it. Take it to the store and see if they can service.

Have a look online for some hinges for sale theyre normally pretty cheap and easy to fix.

My Acer I only owned for HALF a year and the left hinge broke and the screen is splitting in two(Cover and lcd screen)

My dad has an e5-571p-55tl with this left hinge issue as well. The laptop is not old and I'm not sure if he registered it for warranty or anything? Even if it was under warranty, is the hinge something I can replace myself? He is very upset and wants to trash the whole thing- but I refuse to resort to that.

Just over a year an my laptop left hinge is falling apart making the screen soon to be unusable and split in half.
If i get no support to fix a faulty design system, you guys won't see ever a dime from me and from my family ever again.

You should make a recall on those devices that people bought from you and fix it.

With this many people having the same issue. It is not a separate device errors. Like a vehicle, it shares many common parts among different models.

Take responsibility and fix it. That's what a good company that care about its customers and stand behind their product quality would do.
