I cannot find any webcam installed on my laptop. If I look in device manager nothing appears in "imaging devices" except my printer scanner for some reason and under "sound, video and game controllers" no webcam either. I guess I could just go and buy an external webcam but thought I would ask for suggestions first. Thanks

This model has an internal webcam, Check for a light next to webcam that indicates that it is active.
The camera is automatically turned On when you use any application that needs access to webcam.

Open device manager and check if any devices listed with yellow exclamation mark under under other device manager.
If any devices are found, uninstall it and select Action, then Scan for hardware changes.
Also, right click inside device manager windows and check for hidden or disabled devices.
