Hi.
I have a windows 10 x64 pc that i am using the Acer AL2016w monitor with.
Windows has installed the "Generic" monitor driver. I downloaded the proper
driver from Acer, but windows is not accepting it. The driver is an x32 driver,
which windows should accept. What do i do?
When will you update the driver to win 10? The monitor works fine, but i can't
access its full potential (eg: 75hz refresh rate quoted in the specs)
Than You.

It is very possible that your video card doesn't support the wide screen resolution. This monitor supports Aspect Ratio 16:10 with Native Resolution 1680 x 1050 at 75 Hz

The resolutions settings supported by this model.
    800 x 600, 72 Hz
    800 x 600, 75 Hz
    832 x 624, 75 Hz
    1024 x 768, 60 Hz
    1280 x 800, 60 Hz
    1280 x 960, 75 Hz
    1280 x 1024, 60 Hz
    1280 x 1024, 75 Hz
    1360 x 768, 60 Hz
    1600 x 1200, 60 Hz

75hz is too small of a increase to be noticeable over 60hz anyways. Monitor drivers would make no difference, you need to create a custom resolution in the nVidia control panel.

If you are using a Nvidia card, go into the Nvidia control panel and set up a custom resolution.
Open Nvidia Contro panel >Change resolution>Customize button>Create custom resolution button.
Select or create the resolution you want> Test > Within 15 seconds click apply in the pop up window.
    Save and exit.
