Upgrades - SSD/M2 SSD + Memory - OEM System - Acer Predator Helios 300 G3-571-77QK

Hello. I recently purchased the model of Acer Predator noted in my question line.

I was planning to upgrade the system with a purchased:

Samsung NVMe SSD 960 EVO M.2

And SanDisk Ultra 3D SSD 500 GB

Before opening the boxes and preparing for the install, from an online search I learned that the system was pre-installed with a 256 M.2. Is this correct? If so, is it worthwhile to install the Samsung M.2? How do I clone this drive?

I ordered the kit from Acer as well to install the SSD. Is this compatible with the system? My plan was to install Windows 10 onto the SSD and have it boot up from that drive. I would then install my games on the M.2. Any comments, recommendations, or diagrams for installation?

*Note that I only play fighting games like SFV, Tekken 7, and DBZ.

Also, can anyone comment whether it is worthwhile to upgrade from the stock 16 gb ram to a Ballistix or other gaming brand ram? Will this be a good performance upgrade? I was considering to purchase a 2400 hrz Ballistix pair of 16 gb memory (16 GB total).

From you purchase list, the only thing that you need to get is the SATA 3 SSD-Sandisk.

There is no point swapping the M.2 SSD with another M.2 SSD with the same storage capacity but a bit faster, as the difference in OS and game loading times will be bearly noticable as both SSDs are very fast and you won't be able to take use of the other M.2 SSD.

Having faster SSD or SSD instead of HDD will only improve loading times and in some games for example Forza Horizon 3 the game will freeze for miliseconds from time to time when the car is driven faster, because of the slow loading of the HDD.

Have the windows run on the M.2 NVMe SSD for very quick booting and light applications like browsers, antivirus, microsoft office is better to be saved on the M.2 SSD. The games should be stored on the secondary drive(the 500GB Sata 3 SSD), as it has more storage and it is an SSD, so you will have very good loading times.

There is no need to upgrade to a better RAM as the RAM that comes with the laptop is 2400MHz. The only difference would be the latency, but a little higher latency won't be noticable in gaming and it is totally not worth the extra money you are going to pay.

Thanks for the tip. So my final question is whether to upgrade the stock memory to an after-market brand like Ballistix, Hyper X, Corsair etc.

Certainly, I agree with the previous comment, it is not worth spending more taking into account the ram memory of the computer that you already have, and the little difference that this change would make in the performance
