acer v3-571g/windows 7-ultimate-64bit
cpu: 3632qm-2.2ghz
ram:4g-1333
nvidia 710m-2gb
750gb-hdd
hi everyone
i want to update geforce driver to the latest from acer but acer site drivers is very old
i tried to update it from nvidia(391.xx) and did it but its low fps at all games and benchmarks(1-2 fps)
i contacted nvidia for my  problem and they said: you must download custome\optimized(version 311.30 in acer site)driver from the laptop Manufacturer site
This driver was good (311.30) but did not run much of the games(crashed)(crysis 3 and fifa 15 run smootly----pes 2017 & benchmarks & coh2 crashed at start). When I updated the driver, all the games and benchmarks were run, but with a low frame rate (1-2 fps)
Now, please, Acer must have a custom/optimized driver for my laptop so I can run most games smootly.

    Option 1:

Enable your Windows update and it'll do the job for you. You just need for the other updates.

    If not Option 2:

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx and download the drivers using their navigation for the latest.
    BElieve in YOUrself.

The ACER driver 31130 is apparently for the GT640M according to V3-571G specs with Win7 Home Premium, not the GT710M with Win7Ult. I'm not sure if it the GT710M is fully compatible with the GT640M driver. Jack E/NJ

Since your machine doesn't seem to be configured according to factory specs that I find, it was probably custom made. So I can only suggest (1) that you try drivers for other nVidia drivers in the 700m series or (2) Try to rollback to the originally-installed driver that came on the machine when you acquired it because it's probably still the best one currently available for your setup. Did you check to see if there was a driver rollback option in Device Mgr? I'm still not convinced that the 391.xx or 311.30 was the driver version that was originally installed on your machine when you acquired it. Jack E/NJ

    >>>my laptop came with no windows pre-installed>>>

This might explain the problem. Pre-installed Win7 comes with a valid OEM license that is activated based on the machine's serial number. If Win7 was not pre-installed this way, then only installation USB or DVD that has a paid Microsoft license will work properly. Was your Win7Ult installation media licensed by Microsoft? Better yet, if you haven't done so already, I think you should join the nvidia forums with this issue because your machine seems to be custom made. Google "forums.geforce.com" "710m" "windows 7 ultimate" with the quotes for posts that relate to your specific issue. Then sign up and start your own thread to get suggestion from the nvidia community on solving this problem. Jack E/NJ

I mean what thread did ***YOU*** post on https://forums.geforce.com/??? I don't see it. As I said, your system seems to be custom made ACER system with generic Win7 Ultimate and the 710M, NOT a factory made ACER system with the ACER-specific Win7 Home Premium and 640M. Jack E/NJ

Sorry. Like ACER the company, nVidia the company did NOT custom make your machine to run a 710m on a Windows Ultimate machine. Your machine is composed of parts and software from many different companies that were NOT assembled together by ACER or nVidia to run on Windows Ultimate.  Thus ACER cannot make a custom driver for your custom made system because ACER did NOT custom make your system to run on Windows 7 ultimate with the 710m. nVidia also cannot make a custom driver because they also did NOT custom make your sytem.

You have already joined this ACER community users group to get help. Now I am recommending that you also join the nVidia community users group for more help on this issue. Please at least try to post a thread to the nVidia users community, like you have here on the ACER users community, to also get input and help from other users who are not nVidia employees besides just the ACER users who are also NOT ACER employees.

Please remove your SNID because it is irrelevant to your situation. Your machine did NOT come pre-installed with an ACER-specific Windows version that would have had all the correct ACER drivers for the individual hardware components on your system. You are trying to install a generic version of Windows which may not be fully compatible. Jack E/NJ
