Hi!

I had to replace my original keyboard in my Acer Aspire V3 - 571G and the new keyboard works perfectly except it has a non-working backlight function and I would like to know if it's possible to get the function working on this model with drivers or other methods (tried Fn+F9)? I know it doesn't support the function by default but I'm hopeful. Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
Did you have a backlit keyboard originally? I couldn't find any information about the backlit keyboard for your model, could you also please check whether you have a flashing letter A in F9 button of the original keyboard.

Sorry, forgot to state the old one didn't have the backlight function, since this laptop model doesn't come with it by default. The replacement is the same keyboard with the added function, because the keyboard can be built into various Acer laptops and some support the function by default.
All I would like to know is if mine can support it with drivers or other methods, or the hardware is simply not suited for it? The keyboard works perfectly without it nonetheless. Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
No problem, yes, if your original keyboard didn't have the backlight, it means that your MB do not have a connector for backlit keyboard.
