Hello!

So I downloaded the 1.13 bios update and install went fine to 35% and then it stuck and the clock next to it stopped too. Problem is I can't even turn the laptop off since the power button won't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated, just got the laptop today.

i think your laptop need a BIOS recovery but this can be done only by Acer support service; time to give them a call.
    I'm not an Acer employee.

This situation is kinda serious. You can try Internal Battery Reset if possible man. Be careful and follow the steps as mentioned here. Then you can do Alt+F10 and factory reset it.

Yeah, no luck. After I press power only the lights are blinking slowly and fans turning on and off.

It's not, I felt like there should be some other steps other than sending it for return. One thing you can do is to just stop it from charging and then unhook the battery and then powerdrain and boot but I don't want to suggest you something that I am not sure about. Patience my friend is the key here! Good luck and I will surely subscribe this thread for my knowledge as well. I'll have to wait till Monday. I'm from Finland and the service isn't open on weekends. Oh well, thanks for the help guys. At least the laptop looks nice.
