So, I need to update my video card.

Intel alerted that my display adapter is outdated.
I downloaded the update from Intel. Worked perfect. But then...

I tried to install it. Intel gave me an error message that I needed to go to the manufacturer... Acer.

So, I go to Acer and search under my Serial for all drivers.

There is no video driver in the list.

So, how do I update my video card?

To update the driver from intel, download the latest driver available. Go to device manager>display adapters and uninstall the current driver, then restart the laptop and install the driver that you just downloaded.
Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.

It's not necessary to update your Intel Graphics driver unless you're having problems.

However, if you want to update, often times you have to use a manual update method.  I use the "Have Disk" method.

    Method1: (click link below)

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005629/graphics-drivers.html

    Method2: (Have Disk Method)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------
       Microsoft Windows* "Have Disk" Installation
    ------------------------------------------------------------------
    1.  Download the latest driver from Intel (download the zip file---not the exe file) and extract/unzip it.
    2.  Go to "Device Manager".
    3.  Expand "Display adapters" and double-click the graphics controller.
    4.  In the "Driver" tab, click "Update Driver".
    5.  Click "Browse my computer for driver software".
    6.  Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".
    7.  Click "Have Disk..." and click "Browse".
    8. Browse to the directory where you unzipped the file you
downloaded, click the "Graphics" folder, and select the
        "igdlh64.INF" file. Click "Open".
    9. Click "OK" and click "Next". The operating system will install
        the driver.
    10. Click "Close" and click "Yes" to reboot. The driver should now
        be loaded.
    I'm not an Acer employee.
