I have just purchased a Predator G6 710 1080 hoping this would be the end of my freeze up problems, but alas I was better off with my old Predator. I have a lot of flight simulator software which has cost me a fortune and just wanted it to run smoothly. With increased fan settings it will run for about 20 minutes and then totally freeze up leaving me with a loud buzz on the speakers and eventually shutting down pruducing a Blue screen . I have tried updating but it tells me everything is upto date so what is my next move before sending it back, would really appreciate some help on this matter.

This sounds like the machine is overheating (Fan spinning first) and then shutting down to avoid hardware damage due to excessive heating. This is how it is designed to avoid fire hazards, if this is a new machine, just contact Acer support before damaging further hardware, if this is a second use, try changing the thermal paste as when it dries up, this is fairly common. You don't have to bear with overheating issues if this is a new machine m8.

I see  that Acer has released a Firmware Version 1.01 for this model to Enhance system performance. Please check by installing this firmware.
