Predator Win 10 Calendar not syncing

I can't get my Predator Win 10 Calendar to sync with my Toshiba Win 10 calendar.  I checked and double checked my settings, and they look to be correct. The mail syncs, but not the calendar.

I did some research, and it appears to be a common problem. But the basic settings and solutions offered by MS don't seem to work for myself and most others that have this issue. Has anyone here dealt with this issue and successfully solved it?

As a last resort, I'm considering:

Reset the app (PC only)

  1. Go to Start The Start Menu button , and select Settings > Apps > Mail and Calendar.

  2. Select Advanced options > Reset.

Never done this, does this option simply rest the email and calendar settings to default, thus allowing me to re-add email accounts and calendars?

Thanks in Advance!

Has it ever synced? If yes, approximately what date did it stop functioning? Jack E/NJ

Try the reset if you haven't done so already. If still no joy, do you know if Win10update has already been messing with your new machine? Jack E/NJ

I will try the reset option tonight, and also look to see what updates windows has done... then report back on my results/findings, Thanks JackE

Okay, the "reset" didn't do anything... but I did figure it out... it appears the calendars were indeed syncing, but unfortunately, for years I'd been using the win "local" calendar on my Toshiba which apparently will not & does not sync with other devices, hence my predator laptop. Nor can you export the local calendar scheduled events... basically if I want to sync I will have to start using 1 of my calendars that's linked to an email account... e.g. hotmail, outlook etc...

Looks like I'll have to do a lot of manual transferring to a new calendar... really sucks.

Shame on MS for such poor app development/foresight.

    Thanks for your help, JackE

Congrats on figuring it out anyway even if the solution does suck. :) Jack E/NJ
